Wow, has it really been almost a year since I last posted? Apologies. Life and real day-to-day work projects and learnings have been consuming most of my time. I did finish some long-term projects at work while getting new ones that made my head spin.
At this point, I think I’m starting to overcome my denial that I’m morphing into a DevOps engineer (whatever that is). I am trying to wrap my head around Docker/Kubernetes and trying to actually implement an on-premise version of it that can talk to the outside world…with talking to the outside world and all that entails the crux of my current dilemma.
While I try and figure that out, on a positive note, I did complete another (work-mandated) certification. I completed a Linux+ certification this past September. This was another reason for my media silence as I consider myself a Linux sysadmin imposter. But it is a relevant topic to everything DevOps so I am happy that I was able to get it.
With 2025 starting to head to the final days, we shall see where this current path leads. I’m excited and terrified at the same time (as I am with most things in my life). That’s it for now.
